Armughan Ahmad’s appointment as CEO and President of Appen Limited (ASX: APX), the dependable worldwide leader in high-quality data for the AI Lifecycle, was officially announced today. Armughan intends to quicken adoption in the quickly expanding enterprise AI sector. He has over 25 years of expertise running multi-billion dollar technology organisations and developing strong international teams.

“I’m happy to be joining Appen as the new CEO, and I’m eager to help our clients create mission-critical AI apps that provide fresh user experiences. With recent developments in generative AI, such as ChatGPT and DALL.E from Open AI, the speed of AI is quickening. Appen is ideally positioned to adapt to the evolving demands of AI as a rapidly expanding industry leader, earning more than $440M in sales in FY21. I think we have a rare chance to develop a trustworthy, moral AI for good. We must lead the industry in competence and honesty as the primary data supplier for AI.

We’ll keep pushing the limits of AI to improve the world and leave a lasting legacy.

Before joining, Armughan held the positions of Senior Vice President and General Manager at Dell Technologies (NYSE: Dell), where he oversaw the company’s Cloud, HPC, and Solutions divisions. KPMG is a global leader in delivering creative digital transformation services across industrial sectors. He was in charge of the company’s engineering, sales, marketing, services, and collaborations, increasing revenue to multiple billions of dollars. Armughan was instrumental in the successful integration of Dell’s acquisition of EMC data storage, architecting several multi-cloud systems with Microsoft, VMware, and RedHat among others.

A number of the biggest IT businesses in the world and Fortune 500 clients throughout the world use Appen, a category leader, to offer AI products and services. To power their AI applications, major clients including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Airbus, Bloomberg, Pinterest, Home Depot, and Siemens rely on Appen.

For more than 25 years, Appen has been at the vanguard of inventive AI. We have stayed committed to giving our clients high-quality AI training data throughout the industry’s progress. We helped our clients create some of the most cutting-edge AI technologies, including voice interfaces, driverless vehicles, and search engines.

By automating our most monotonous jobs, generative AI is paving the way for the age of the AI-powered worker. Instead, employees now have more time to devote to strategy, innovation, and creativity.

“AI is here to support our work, not to replace it. They are only instruments. The secret ingredient is us. While maintaining our unique characteristics and including certain fantasy features for both pleasure and work, it speeds up human and machine collaboration, enabling us to take part in the emergence of a new age for human achievement. By utilising our technology and a large, diversified user base, Appen has a great chance to profit from the next stage of AI growth, says Armughan.
