Pradeep Mehra gets Rs. 2.5 lakh from Shoppers Stop for his mother’s treatment and to pursue his dreams. A viral video changed the life of a boy. A few days ago a boy’s video went viral where he was running back home from his workplace and when a person asked him to drive home he refused.

People were so impressed by his video and it went viral in no time, and he became the new motivation for people. Pradeep is 19 years old from Almora, Uttarakhand, and wants to join the Indian Army, but due to a lack of resources and finance, he works at Noida’s sector 16 branch of McDonald’s. His home is 10 km away from McDonald’s and he runs every night back home because he doesn’t get time in the morning to do so.

His video went viral When Vinod Kapri, a national award-winning filmmaker tweeted “This is Pure Gold” with a video attached with that tweet explaining what he saw, saying that at midnight he found a boy on Noida’s road who was running quite fast, carrying a bag in his back. Vinod thought he might be in a problem or something so he offered the boy a ride in his car but the boy refused and he kept refusing. He wrote that the reason for refusing the offer will melt your heart.

In the video when Vinod asked him why he is refusing the ride the boy said he wants to join the Indian Army and he doesn’t get time to run in the morning so he runs back home every night as this can help him in his selection. He said he cooks in the morning and has to reach the workplace at 8 daily, his mother is hospitalised and he stays with his elder brother who also works. When Vinod asked him to have dinner at his home he again refused by saying that he has to cook food for his brother too because he is having a night shift and can’t cook food.

After watching the video many famous personalities appreciated him and he also got the attention of Lt Gen Satish Dua. He said by quoting Vinod Kapri’s tweet that “his Josh is commendable, and to help him pass the recruitment test on his merit, I have interacted with Colonel of KUMAON Regiment, Lt Gen Rana Kalita, the Commander of Eastern Army. He is doing the needful to train the boy for recruitment into his Regiment”.

Vinod Kapri again tweeted when Shoppers Stop gave the boy a cheque of Rs. 2.5 lakh for his mother’s treatment on 30tg March. He also got the attention of the media and humbly asked them to give him some space so he can focus on his goals.
